My client had taken their engagement photos in front of this gorgeous blue door in Mdina, Malta, and wanted a LEGO diorama of the moment!

About the Build
Despite its simple appearance, the internal structure of this model is incredibly complex. Details such as the door hinges, layered arches around the door, and slight step at the front are supported from within this model in a feat of LEGO geometry!
The layered vines across the front are accomplished using plates with bars and two styles of olive green leaf pieces.

While the minifigures included in this diorama use yellow as their skin tone, due to better options for facial expressions, facial hair, sunglasses, and short sleeves, I edited the minifigure's skin-tone in this photo to show a direct side-by-side comparison with one of the original reference photos!
