I love LEGO Chima and it remains one of my favorite themes. As such, I had plenty of minifigures. I started mixing up minifigures until I had the Cragger-Loki and Laval-Iron Man combo, and started to build up the model from there!
The setting of the model is inspired by Loki and Tony Stark’s confrontation in Stark Tower from the first Avengers movie. However, the angled wall and banner is an element pulled from the Lion Temple, seen behind the Sacred Chi pool. I enjoyed getting to reuse motifs from my Lion Temple build, particularly the turrets topped in teeth.
Build Time: 1 Day
This model was the quickest of any of the built this week at only 5 hours. However, I spent 12+ hours on a larger multi-story version of a Stark Tower/Lion Temple mashup with a large arcing bay window but the angles that I was attempting were too ambitious for the time frame, so the build was scrapped. With some encouragement and advice from my friend Chris (@xtopher98), I started over with a build that would be easier to capture in one photograph and that would allow me to focus in on smaller details.
