Hide & Seek

Prompt: Build a scene focusing on or inspired by one of the official collectible minifigures.

Inspiration:

I chose to build a scene for the flowerpot girl from series 18, as I liked the color scheme and I though it would be fun to build a southern porch. I spent a long time scrolling through photos of porches until I found one I liked!

About the Build:

I aimed to limit my colors in this build to only lime, bright green, magenta, reddish brown, and dark orange, the colors used in the original figure, plus white, grey, black and trans brown.

The door and steps were a challenge, as I built them in dark orange. What you see is about the extent of my dark orange collection!

I had a blast coming up with unique ways of doing things and trying others’ techniques for the first time, like the siding and @ranghaal’s cobblestone technique!

Fun Fact:

The siding on the house is made of 1x1 bricks rotated slightly, taking advantage of the tolerances between them!
