Rock Raiders ATST
Prompt: Take a recognizable Star Wars scene and recreate it in a Classic LEGO Theme.
Inspiration:
I decided to do a recreation of the iconic scene of the AT-ST Raider attacking the village from The Mandalorian season 1, episode 4, in the style of LEGO's 1999 Rock Raiders theme.
About the Build:
The Rock Raiders, while the protagonists of their own theme, now stand in the place of the Empire. The villager's defenses here are but the terrain itself. This piece is a statement on how our plundering of the natural world is akin to an armed conflict and invites the viewer to reflect on the role which humanity plays.
My design of the Rock Raiders ATAT was heavily based on a AFOL created poster released by LEGO in 2018. If anyone knows the original artist, let me know so I can tag them!

Fun Fact:
The light in this model is a Power Functions LED with the battery box hidden directly behind the rockwork of the model, however it still fits into the 32x32 size constraint!
