Truckla Diorama

Inspiration:
In 2019, Simone Giertz (simonegiertz.com) transformed her Tesla Model 3 into an EV pickup truck which she affectionately named "Truckla." I thought it would be a really fun vehicle to build, and gave it a shot! Once I had finished Truckla, I decided to recreate one of the photos featured in WIRED's December 2019 cover story about Simone.
About the Build:
After sharing photos of the diorama on social media, Simone reached out to me and asked to buy the model, at which point I made a number of improvements to the overall design. The initial build was very fragile, so I added technic structural supports along the back. I also took the opportunity to match the original photo even closer!
The model features Simone in a white jumpsuit standing upon Truckla against the backdrop of a warehouse.
Fun Fact:
Simone featured the Truckla diorama in the intro to this video! She builds a LEGO Mindstorms photobooth for her adorable pup, Scraps! It's definitely worth a watch!
